ABSTRACT. Aim. To review the guidance documents of the European Union (EU) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on post-registration methods of pesticide analysis for laboratory control to ensure compliance with and monitoring of maximum residue levels (MRLs) of pesticides and to provide proposals for the development of domestic documents in this branch.
Materials and Methods. Analytical review of EU and OECD guidance and legislative documents and scientific publications devoted to the development of pesticide analysis methods for laboratory control of compliance with and monitoring of pesticide MRLs. Ukrainian legislative documents regulating the development and use of pesticide residue analysis methods for laboratory control require significant revision in accordance with EU and OECD requirements.
Results and Conclusions. Proposals are formulated regarding the need to create domestic guidance on the development of post-registration methods for pesticide analysis for laboratory control to ensure compliance with and monitoring of pesticide MRLs based on the guidance documents of the European Union and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
